Treatment Room Recording Studio About Page

Established in 2004, and completely renovated in 2014, The Treatment Room is a recording studio owned by Gilles Castilloux, and is located in Montreal’s Mile-End Neighborhood.

With an emphasis on older equipment, including analog recording, the studio offers a relaxed environment with a warm space, mellow
demeanour, and a soothing ‘70s lamp collection. Its main studio has four separate tracking rooms and a large control room, an Ocean Audio ARK analog recording console built by Malcolm Toft, lots of outboard EQ, compressors, and effects, various keyboards including a Hammond M111 with a Leslie 147 speaker cabinet, a Baldwin baby grand piano, and tons of instruments, including vintage tube amps, guitars, basses, and drum kits.

House Staff includes Philippe Brault (producer, engineer, musician), Ghyslain-Luc Lavigne (engineer, mixer), Charles-Émile Beaudin (engineer, mixer), and Gilles Castilloux (engineer, mixer, proprietor).
